BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Northwest Arkansas photographer was arrested earlier this week after authorities say he was generating child sexual abuse materials (CSAM ) using artificial intelligence.
Russell Edward Bloodworth, 43, of Bentonville, was arrested on June 10 for 100 counts of possessing CSAM and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
On June 8, the Bentonville Police Department received a cyber-tip related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) being generated online by an account holder utilizing GROK AI.
Through an investigation, police determined the account to be registered to Bloodworth, which prompted a warrant at the Bloodworth residence on June 10.
Based on evidence from the warrant, Bloodworth was arrested and taken to Benton County Jail.
He is being held in jail pending a probable cause/bond hearing, according to BPD.
Bloodworth, the owner of Russell Bloodworth Photography, has photographed countless locals in the region ranging in age, with a large portion of his work featuring children and families.
