Bitget Wallet said its systems and user assets were not affected by the recent security incident at the Bitget exchange.
In a post on its official X account on Sept. 25, Bitget Wallet said it was unaffected and that user assets remain safe.
The company also stressed that Bitget Wallet is a self-custody wallet service operated separately from the exchange. It said user assets are controlled directly by each user on-chain and are separated from Bitget exchange’s custodial infrastructure.
Bitget Wallet said it conducted a precautionary security review of its internal systems after the exchange incident. The review found no signs that the wallet system or users’ self-custodied assets had been affected.
"Bitget Wallet is currently operating normally and remains secure," the company said. It also urged users to be cautious of phishing and impersonation attempts and to check related information only through Bitget Wallet’s official channels.
