Back Enterprisetimes CyberSentriq Launches SentriqAI to Close the SMB Security Gap -
CyberSentriq has launched SentriqAI , a solution that unites email security, Microsoft 365 backup and recovery, and email archiving in one platform. The solution was built for managed service providers (MSPs) serving small and medium-sized businesses. Backed by private equity firm Bregal Milestone, it was formed last year through the merger of Redstor and TitanHQ .
This is the first major new product launch under recently appointed CEO Myles Bray as it looks to achieve the $100 million ARR target set by Bregal Milestone. That goal relies on both organic growth, new products and further acquisitions.
SentriqAI aims to solve two issues for MSPs and their SMB customers. First, AI helps attackers build more convincing, targeted campaigns at greater speed and scale.
Second, SMB defences remain fragmented across separate email security, backup, recovery and compliance tools. Even basic AI models make attacks more effective and harder to spot. Front-end models do not hold a monopoly on this risk.
Bray commented on the new platform, “AI has changed the economics of cybercrime and is giving cybercriminals the ability to launch more convincing, targeted attacks at far greater speed and scale.
“While the threat has moved on, the security gap hasn’t. Large enterprises have the teams, technology and budgets to respond. Most SMBs don’t, and that’s the imbalance we are addressing.”
The scale of the challenge
TOTALASSURE noted in its Cyber Attacks on Small Businesses Statistics 2026 (registration required) that in 2026, 49% of small businesses experienced a cyberattack, with incidents occurring every seven seconds, a 13% increase from 2025. The average breach cost $254,000, and 60% of affected companies closed within six months.
The IBM 2026 Cost of a Data Breach Report found that one in four malicious breaches were AI-enabled, at an average cost of $6 million per breach. Malicious or criminal attacks caused 55% of all breaches, up almost 8% year on year. SMBs face these threats without the cybersecurity budgets or specialist teams available to large enterprises.
One Platform, Not a Stack
CyberSentriq rejected the usual approach of a shared login across separate products. Instead, it re-engineered its technology around one user interface, one API and a shared data layer. That single operating environment cuts tool-switching and manual work across many SMB customers.
SentriqAI learns normal email patterns for each organisation, then flags anomalies such as sender impersonation. Rather than issuing an unexplained risk score, it analyses sender, domain, authentication, links, intent and history. Technicians therefore see why a threat was flagged, with evidence to support investigations and customer decisions.
The vendor separates autonomous action from AI-assisted judgement. Phishing quarantine and backup restore can run autonomously. Threat investigation and policy advice stay human-led. Microsoft 365 coverage spans Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID. Recovery ranges from individual items and mailboxes to complete workloads, alongside tamper-proof email archiving.
A multi-tenant, cloud-native, API-first design lets MSPs automate provisioning and connect PSA and RMM tools. The stated aim is to replace point-product stacks with one unified environment.
The Channel Perspective
For partners, SentriqAI arrives as consolidation accelerates. Omdia noted that, “Customers no longer want fragmented point solutions. They’re demanding integrated platforms that simplify their security architecture.” And “Leading vendors are leveraging AI to accelerate platform adoption and consolidate the dozens of disparate products cluttering customer environments.”
In its formation and with SentriqAI, CyberSentriq is validating that statement. Reformed IT, a UK-based MSP that has moved to CyberSentriq, highlighted the value of unified backup and recovery for business continuity.
Joe Burns , CEO and Co-Founder of Reformed IT, said, “The challenge was that it looks like most providers do the same thing. There’s a lack of differentiation in that market.
“So, when we did look at CyberSentriq, one of the things that was attractive in the proposition was the additional backups of Entra … and the fact that we were able to do better business continuity planning with our clients because of the availability to start to run the services in the cloud.”
Competitors include Rubrik, Cohesity and Commvault, which came from data protection and added security features. Others, such as Hornetsecurity, Barracuda and Proofpoint, compete primarily on email security. Blackpoint Cyber noted, “The winning MSPs will pair AI with skilled people and sound processes. Tools don’t replace a SOC. They make a good SOC more effective.”
Bray concludes, “There shouldn’t be one standard of AI cybersecurity for large enterprises and another for everyone else. SMBs face sophisticated threats, hold valuable data and depend just as heavily on their technology. Our job is to give MSPs the intelligence, automation and resilience capabilities they need to close that gap . “
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
For CyberSentriq, the launch marks its first major product milestone under CEO Myles Bray. It signals a shift from integration to productisation. The vendor now needs to prove that a merged TitanHQ-Redstor stack can hit its $100 million ARR target by 2028.
For MSPs, the promise is operational simplicity. A single pane of glass for email security, backup and archiving should reduce training overhead and cut tool sprawl. The autonomous-against-assisted AI split also gives partners clearer governance boundaries. That matters when MSPs must explain to clients what the system does and why.
For SMBs, the benefit is access to enterprise-grade defence. They no longer need to assemble and manage a fragmented tool portfolio. The trade-off is reliance on their MSP for configuration and monitoring.
Competitors must now respond to a unified MSP-first stack. Pure-play email security vendors face pressure from a bundled alternative. Data protection players like Cohesity and Rubrik already added security layers, but CyberSentriq starts from the MSP channel. That positioning could win partners who want fewer vendors and one bill.
The big question is what is ; vendors like Kaseya and ConnectWise have an even wider technology stack. What will CyberSentriq add ?
