🇺🇸 🚨 FIDELITY DIGITAL ASSETS: THREAT ACTOR CLAIMS 288GB DATA THEFT, OFFERS IT FOR SALE
A threat actor on an underground forum claims to have stolen 288.8 GB of data from Fidelity Digital Assets, the digital-asset custody and trading arm of Fidelity Investments, and is offering it for sale.
The actor claims the dataset spans 13 record sets, including:
* Digital asset custody documentation and institutional trading records
* Client onboarding information, AML/sanctions monitoring files and SOC/technology assurance reports
The claim has not been independently verified, and Fidelity has not publicly confirmed a breach.
If authentic, institutional onboarding files and custody documentation would be valuable for targeted phishing, social engineering and fraud against high-value crypto clients, while SOC and assurance reports could map internal controls for follow-on attacks. Large "regulatory document" dumps are sometimes padded with public or third-party material. Unverified threat-actor claim, NOT confirmation of a compromise of Fidelity systems.
