Back Kucoin DeFiLlama Delays Mobile App Launch Due to Phishing Apps on the App Store
According to ME News, on August 16 (UTC+8), 0xngmi, founder of DeFiLlama, stated that due to the long-standing presence of phishing apps impersonating DeFiLlama on the Apple App Store, the team had previously delayed the release of its official mobile app. The team will not release the official mobile app until all counterfeit applications have been removed, to minimize the risk of users falling victim to scams. Yesterday, 0xngmi, founder of DeFiLlama, said: “For months, we’ve been trying to get Apple’s App Store to remove a fake app impersonating DeFiLlama, continuously reporting it to Apple for trademark infringement and impersonation of an official application. We then funded a small wallet, downloaded the app, and as expected, all funds in the wallet were stolen—so we reported this to Apple. Within days, Apple removed the app. We hope this information helps other crypto companies avoid wasting time as we did.” (Source: BlockBeats)
