DoorDash was the victim of a recent data breach, and the hackers accessed some customers’ personal information
According to DoorDash, it happened when an employee was targeted by a "social engineering scam."
DoorDash says some users’ data was released to an unauthorized third party, but the company didn’t say how many customers were affected.
"Importantly, no sensitive information was accessed by the unauthorized third party and we have no indication the data has been misused for fraud or identity theft at this time," DoorDash said on its website.

The company says no sensitive information — like Social Security numbers, bank payment cards and driver’s licenses — was released.
The hack has been reported to law enforcement.
DoorDash’s total orders rose 21% to 776 million in the July-September period, the company reported in early November.
