A former Western Sydney University student already charged with hacking into the institution's servers allegedly continued to break into its systems while on bail.

Birdie Kingston, 27, was arrested on Thursday accused of using the university's email address to send more than 109,000 fraudulent emails.

Ms Kingston briefly faced Parramatta Local Court where she did not apply for bail and will remain in custody.
