Globe fully restores internet services following international subsea cable disruption

Manilastandard • October 4, 2026

Globe has fully restored internet services affected by a disruption along an international subsea cable segment between the Philippines and Singapore. Mobile and broadband customers who experienced intermittent connectivity or slower internet browsing should now see services return to normal.

Traffic across the affected segment has been restored after the cable landing station in the Philippines successfully reactivated the system and normalized fiber connections. Globe continues to work with its international network partners to determine the exact nature and location of the fault.

Globe earlier reported that the disruption reduced available international bandwidth, resulting in slower internet speeds or lag when browsing and accessing some international online services.

Globe thanks its customers for their patience and understanding throughout the disruption. The company continues to monitor network performance following the restoration and remains focused on maintaining reliable connectivity and minimizing the impact of network disruptions on customers.
