How the Aurora® Superintelligence Platform and Aurora Agentic SOC Help You Understand and Secure AI

Arcticwolf •Amy Tierney • October 14, 2026

AI now plays a central role in defending organizations from the modern threat landscape. It triages alerts, investigates security events, and recommends what to do . AI is critical to defending at machine speed, but security leaders can’t see how it is making decisions on their behalf. This visibility challenge creates multiple downstream problems for security leaders that need to justify AI decisions that they can’t fully explain to their board, regulatory bodies, and insurance partners.

The challenge reaches beyond defense. Employees are also adopting AI tools faster than your team can inventory them. Governing those tools and assessing their risks only adds to the workload.

According to the Arctic Wolf® 2026 AI & Cybersecurity Trends Report, 94% of organizations say AI capabilities influence their cybersecurity purchasing decisions. Yet only 53% trust AI to perform even narrowly defined security actions on its own.

We’re working to close that trust gap by providing more transparency into agentic security operations and AI activity across your organization. With the Aurora® Superintelligence Platform , you can see how the Aurora® Agentic SOC makes decisions. You can identify the AI services in use across your environment. You can also get critical security intelligence fast through natural language conversations.

SwarmView: See the Why Behind Every AI Security Decision

To trust a recommendation, you need to know what influenced it. The Aurora Superintelligence Platform is powered by the Swarm of Experts™, Arctic Wolf’s proprietary network of 300+ AI agents that work alongside human security experts to help identify and respond to threats, evaluate findings, and support security decisions.

SwarmView™, available in November in the Arctic Wolf Portal, shows you the work behind the scenes. It highlights which agents contributed to a security event, how findings were evaluated, and what information shaped the outcome. It also lets you follow a security event from the first indicator to the conclusion.

When an agent can’t reach a clear conclusion, a human security expert steps in. SwarmView makes it clear when human expertise contributed to the decision, helping you see how Arctic Wolf reached a recommendation.

Shadow AI Discovery: Find the AI Usage You Didn’t Know

You can’t manage AI-related risk if you don’t know how employees are using AI in your organization.

To address this challenge, we’re introducing a new Shadow AI Discovery capability in November to Aurora® Managed Detection and Response (MDR) customers. This feature shows how your organization uses AI, identifies unknown AI usage that may need further review, and supports long-term AI governance decisions and policies. It uses network, identity, and endpoint data, so you don’t need to deploy anything new.

You can review the findings through a standalone report or as part of a Security Posture In-depth Review (SPiDR).

Figure 2: Shadow AI Discovery shows AI use and flags areas that may need further review.

Train Employees on AI Best Practices

Discovering AI use is important, but employees also need guidance on how to use AI safely. When Shadow AI Discovery identifies areas that need attention, AI training in Aurora® Security Awareness and Training Plus helps employees learn AI best practices and recognize potential risks. It also teaches employees how to identify AI-powered threats, including phishing attacks and other forms of AI-generated fraud.

You can assign AI training modules to help employees make better decisions and reduce human risk related to AI usage.

Aurora Security Assistant: Get the Answers You Need Fast

Sometimes you need answers quickly. Aurora® Security Assistant gives you answers in plain language using data from the Aurora Superintelligence Platform. It now helps answer questions across more areas of your environment, including SPiDRs, Security Journey, threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, patch management, and asset risk.

Aurora Security Assistant also lets you continue conversations, making it easier to pick up where you left off and continue investigations.

Figure 3: Aurora Security Assistant can now answer questions vulnerabilities, assets, patch status, SPiDRs, Security Journey, and threat intelligence.

Once you have an answer, you may want to dig deeper. Searching through numerous fields and dropdown menus can make it difficult to find the information you need. Recent enhancements to the Arctic Wolf Portal let you in natural language, so you can describe what you’re looking for in plain English instead of building complex queries.

Whether you’re investigating a security event or exploring your data, Natural Language Query helps you find answers faster and spend less time navigating the platform.

Natural Language Query is available in the Arctic Wolf Portal, which you can access directly from your current Arctic Wolf experience.

Arctic Wolf Mobile App: Stay Connected Wherever You Work

Security work doesn’t stop when you’re away from your desk. The Arctic Wolf Mobile App helps you stay connected to important security activity wherever you are.

Available on iOS and Android , the app provides access to alerts, investigations, and other security information from your mobile device. Whether you’re reviewing activity, checking the status of a case, or keeping up with important notifications, you can stay connected when you’re away from the portal.

Expand Security Visibility with New Integrations

AI tools add more activity, more data, and more risk to evaluate, so a complete view of your environment and the ability to take a response action matters more than ever. No one tool sees everything. Identities, cloud services, business applications, networks, and critical infrastructure create their own signals.

Our platform turns raw data from your existing tools into useful security signals as well as active response, so you get greater value from the tools you already have. That’s why we’ve expanded our integrations across endpoint, identity, cloud, network, healthcare, backup, and observability technologies.

Recent additions cover several areas of your environment.

Endpoint: Aurora® Adaptive Threat Protection, Aurora® mEDR, Trend Vision One Endpoint Security, and Palo Alto Cortex

Cloud and applications: Datadog, Cloudflare WAF, and Imperva WAF

Email and collaboration: Proofpoint Essentials and Google Workspace

Network and critical infrastructure: ExtraHop Reveal(x) 360, Veeam Data Platform, and Claroty xDome Industrial

Healthcare: Epic Systems, Claroty xDome Healthcare, and Imprivata ITDR

One highlight is our new integration with Veeam Data Platform, which extends visibility into backup infrastructure that attackers target to disrupt recovery.

We’ve also expanded visibility into healthcare environments through Epic Systems, Imprivata ITDR, and Claroty xDome Healthcare. New support for Cloudflare WAF and Imperva WAF enables detection and active response for threats targeting web applications and services.
