Keeper Security has announced new integrations with Tenable designed to help organizations identify and remediate cloud security risks faster while improving the management of privileged credentials used in vulnerability assessments.

The integrations connect Tenable’s cloud security detection capabilities with Keeper’s identity security and privileged access management platform, allowing security teams to address vulnerabilities without manually transferring information between systems.

Through the integration, security teams can send cloud security findings identified by Tenable directly to Keeper, where they can initiate remediation actions such as rotating compromised credentials, enforcing just-in-time access and removing unnecessary standing privileges.

Once remediation is completed, Keeper automatically updates the finding’s status in Tenable, creating a coordinated workflow from vulnerability detection through resolution.

“Organizations can’t remediate findings if they aren’t properly equipped to take action immediately,” said Darren Guccione , CEO and co-founder of Keeper Security. “As AI-powered threats increase the onslaught of cyber attacks and decrease the window of time in which cyber defenders can take action, this integration enables cloud security teams to implement fixes in seconds instead of weeks.”

The integration uses Keeper Encrypter, a self-hosted gateway deployed within a customer’s environment, to encrypt communications between the platforms. The architecture is designed to prevent unencrypted security findings and credentials from being exposed outside the organization’s infrastructure.

The companies have also introduced an integration between Tenable and Keeper Commander to improve credential security during vulnerability scanning.

Rather than storing passwords and SSH keys directly within Tenable scan configurations, organizations can maintain privileged credentials in Keeper. Tenable retrieves the credentials when scans are performed, reducing the need to store sensitive information in multiple systems.

The capability supports authenticated vulnerability scans across SSH, Windows and database environments, allowing security teams to evaluate installed software, system configurations, patch levels and compliance requirements.

Credentials can also be rotated automatically through Keeper, with updated credentials available to Tenable during subsequent scans without requiring manual configuration changes.

“By connecting Tenable’s cloud detection directly to Keeper’s zero-trust remediation engine, we’ve built a closed-loop workflow that operates entirely within the customer’s perimeter,” said Craig Lurey , CTO and co-founder of Keeper Security.

The integrations are available to Keeper customers with active KeeperPAM licenses.

Chicago-based Keeper Security provides zero-trust identity security, privileged access management and credential protection solutions for organizations seeking to secure access to critical systems and cloud infrastructure.
