Niobium Launches Developer Partner Program for Encrypted

Tipranks • June 1, 2026

Niobium has opened a Developer Partner Program for The Fog, its fully homomorphic encryption (FHE)–focused Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform that enables computation on encrypted data without exposing plaintext to the cloud. The move positions Niobium to capture early enterprise and developer demand for secure analytics and AI on sensitive data, ahead of a broader commercial rollout planned for the third quarter of 2026.

Through The Fog, data remains encrypted end-to-end—at rest, in use, and in transit—while decryption keys stay solely with the data owner, offering a path for regulated industries that have previously kept critical workloads off public cloud infrastructure. CEO Kevin Yoder said the program is designed to surface the most commercially relevant FHE applications, with partners able to sign in, provision FHE-accelerated servers, and deploy encrypted workloads using frameworks such as OpenFHE or Google’s HEIR with minimal in-house cryptography expertise.

Niobium is targeting high-value use cases in life sciences, financial services, managed security, and government, where organizations need to analyze or sensitive information without disclosing raw data. Example applications include cross-institution analysis of patient or genomic records, multi-party fraud detection and credit risk modeling, cloud-based intrusion detection that avoids exposing packet contents, and encrypted that supports retrieval-augmented generation and semantic queries on private datasets.

Accepted partners receive access to The Fog console and developer portal, along with quick-start workflows that demonstrate full encrypted execution paths from ingestion to result. Niobium will also provide a growing catalog of prebuilt FHE applications, including Encrypted Network Intrusion Detection, Encrypted , and Encrypted ML Inference, giving enterprises reference implementations to accelerate proofs of concept and reduce integration risk.

At the hardware layer, partners gain dedicated access to Niobium’s mistic Core accelerator, implemented on FPGA and marketed as delivering up to twice the FHE performance of current GPUs or competing accelerators. Provisioned servers expose SSH connectivity and API-based management, allowing teams to integrate FHE compute into existing pipelines while closely monitoring performance, latency, and cost profiles for future scale-up.

Niobium is offering direct engineering support to evaluate workload suitability, define technical requirements, and guide projects from initial scoping through proof of concept, which is likely to be critical for enterprises new to homomorphic encryption. All applicants are added to Niobium’s FHE developer community on Discord, while those with concrete FHE use cases and early applications are prioritized for program admission, giving them early-mover advantage as encrypted compute matures.

Strategically, this program signals Niobium’s shift from core technology development to early commercialization, with The Fog serving as the company’s primary delivery channel for its accelerator stack. If Niobium can demonstrate scalable, real-world FHE performance across a small but influential set of partners, it could establish a defensible position in privacy-preserving compute and influence how banks, healthcare providers, security vendors, and public-sector agencies approach sensitive workloads in the cloud.
