BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce is warning the public a phishing email circulating that impersonates Chamber staff.
The fraudulent message appears to come from Denise Southern at the Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and includes a PDF titled “Approve Final Statement.” The email prompts users to enter a password to open the attachment.
Once opened, the PDF directs users to a website that requests Google and Gmail login credentials. This is a credential harvesting scam designed to steal passwords.
Do not to the email or open the attachment. If you already entered your Google or Gmail password, change it immediately.
