The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has released satellite imagery of yesterday's strike on St. Petersburg, Russia, where an oil terminal and the corvette "Boikiy" were hit, UNN reports.

A series of strikes deep into Russia were carried out by the Ukrainian military using attack drones. The attack coincided with the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Geolocated footage shows a plume of smoke rising from the Kronstadt naval base following the Ukrainian strike. The Steregushchiy-class corvette "Boikiy" was hit there.

The moment the vessel was hit was shared on X by Denys Shtylerman, co-founder and chief designer of Fire Point Denys Shtylerman .

An oil terminal was also hit by long-range drones.

The General Staff of Ukraine stated that the terminal is one of the largest oil refining complexes in the Baltic Sea, with a capacity of 10 million tons per year. This is the 20th strike on a Russian oil industry facility since May 1 of this year.

The Security Service of Ukraine clarified that at least four separate large fire hotspots were recorded at the struck St. Petersburg oil terminal.

ISW notes that since March of this year, Ukrainian forces have significantly increased the frequency, range, and intensity of strikes on oil infrastructure deep in the Russian rear. This is causing colossal damage to the Russian oil industry.
