China's National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center (CVERC) has accused the United States of being behind a 2020 cyberattack on the LuBian bitcoin mining pool, resulting in the theft of 127,272 bitcoins, valued at approximately $13 billion. The allegations suggest that the U.S. Department of Justice utilized state-level hacking tools to execute the operation, escalating tensions between the two nations.
