Kaspersky's latest report reveals that around 150 major DDoS suppliers are currently active on the darknet, with services priced between $30 and $2,000 based on various factors. The report analyzed over 256,000 posts related to DDoS attacks and identified 148 active DDoS actors since 2024. The services include brokered attacks, DDoS-as-a-Service, and in-house infrastructure options. Notably, 74% of the actors advertised network-layer attacks, while 92% offered application-layer attacks. The influx of new suppliers, including 16 in Q1 2026, suggests a growing market for these services. This trend poses a significant risk to businesses, emphasizing the need for enhanced DDoS readiness in cybersecurity planning.
