doxx.net, founded by Barrett Lyon, raised $38 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company aims to enhance security for AI agents through its Agentic Defined Networking (ADN) platform, which is currently in open beta. The ADN platform provides a serverless, peer-to-peer communication environment with built-in threat protection, allowing users and AI agents to connect without relying on central intermediaries. This design addresses vulnerabilities in current internet architecture that can lead to interception and surveillance. The platform features end-to-end messaging, file transfers, and a private naming system with 196 custom TLDs. Lyon emphasizes that privacy is built into the architecture rather than being a marketing promise. The platform is designed for long-running AI agents, allowing them to manage network configurations autonomously. The funding will support the ongoing development and testing of this innovative security solution.
