The fraud involved the Bangladesh Concert & Event Connects (BCEC) group promoting fake tickets using images from a canceled concert. When approached by event organizers, Khan allegedly demanded BDT 100,000 to remove the fraudulent listings and threatened to damage their reputation if his demands were not met. The CID tracked him down using digital forensics and arrested him on July 16, 2026, seizing an iPhone 11 believed to be used in the crime. The investigation is ongoing, with Khan now presented before a judicial magistrate.
