The funding follows a $25 million investment from Lockheed Martin announced in April 2026. Fortem's SkyDome Family of Systems integrates radar sensors, command-and-control software, and autonomous interceptors to detect and neutralize drone threats. The company has secured significant contracts, including a prime contractor position on a Department of Homeland Security counter-UAS contract with an estimated ceiling of $1.011 billion. Additionally, Fortem has received multimillion-dollar contracts for protecting venues during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and U.S. Army installations. The demand for counter-UAS technology is increasing due to rising drone incursions and military conflicts, particularly in the context of the war in Iran. Fortem's Chief Business Officer, Charlie O’Connell, noted the urgency for scaling production to meet this demand.
