On April 28, 2026, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for a $15 billion Google AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant investment in India's technology sector. The facility will have a capacity of 1 gigawatt and span nearly 600 acres across Tarluwada, Adavivaram, and Rambilli. This project is expected to position Visakhapatnam as a major AI and cloud infrastructure hub in Asia and is anticipated to generate thousands of jobs in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data science. The centre will also feature subsea cable connectivity, enhancing international digital links.
