Founders of Samourai Wallet Sentenced for $237 Million Crypto Laundering

The co-founders of Samourai Wallet, Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill, were sentenced for laundering over $237 million through their cryptocurrency mixing service. The U.S. Justice Department stated that the platform facilitated the concealment of funds linked to various criminal activities, including drug trafficking and fraud. Rodriguez received a five-year prison sentence, while Hill was sentenced to four years, along with fines and supervised release.
