Gabon has recently concluded a nine-month cybersecurity training program delivered by MITRE, aimed at enhancing the skills of officials from the National Agency for Digital Infrastructure and Frequencies (ANINF) and other public institutions. The training focused on the MITRE ATT&CK framework and Cyber Threat Intelligence, equipping participants to better detect and respond to cyber threats. Following this initiative, a simulated cyberattack exercise was conducted on September 11, 2026, to test the nation's cybersecurity readiness. This exercise involved multiple government teams analyzing a cyber threat and activating response procedures. Both initiatives are part of a strategic partnership with the United States and are designed to improve Gabon's national cybersecurity framework and resilience. The training concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants, emphasizing the commitment to strengthening digital security in Gabon.
