Hackers have exploited voice-based social engineering techniques, known as vishing, to bypass multi-factor authentication (MFA) protections at Okta. Attackers impersonated IT support staff to capture Okta single sign-on (SSO) credentials and one-time passwords during active login sessions. This activity was reported by BleepingComputer and confirmed by Okta in a recent threat advisory.
