Humanity Protocol has initiated a full token migration and airdrop of a new H token following a $36 million exploit on June 8, 2026. The previous H token has been sunsetted and replaced with a newly audited ERC-20 contract on Ethereum. Airdrops will occur on a 1:1 basis for holders based on snapshots taken before the exploit. The attack involved a phishing email that compromised a director's machine, leading to the theft of approximately 141.18 million H tokens. Addresses linked to the attacker have been excluded from the airdrop, while those holding H in liquidity pools will have their tokens managed separately. A compensation fund has been established for unresolved cases and post-snapshot buyers. The new H token will serve as the native gas token for the upcoming relaunch of Humanity Mainnet.
