Kubernetes maintainers have announced the retirement of Ingress NGINX, an ingress controller, due to insurmountable technical debt. Best-effort maintenance will continue until March 2026, after which there will be no further releases, bug fixes, or security updates. Existing deployments will remain functional, but users are advised to migrate to alternative solutions.
