LastPass has expanded its Business Max offering to include AI Monitoring & Protect and Web Monitoring & Protect, aimed at improving visibility and governance of AI tools used by employees. This move comes as 92% of organizations report AI usage, with many lacking oversight, raising security concerns. The new capabilities allow administrators to discover Shadow AI, control data sharing with AI tools, and block access to malicious sites. CEO Karim Toubba noted that these enhancements are part of a broader strategy to recover from past security incidents and improve customer retention. The company has invested significantly in security upgrades since 2022, resulting in improved renewal rates and reduced deal losses. The expanded offerings are now available to all Business Max customers, enhancing their ability to manage AI-related risks effectively.
