Ribbon Communications, a U.S. telecommunications provider, confirmed that government-backed hackers accessed its network starting in December 2024 and remained undetected for almost a year. The breach involved unauthorized access to sensitive data belonging to three of its customers. Ribbon has since notified law enforcement and believes the hackers are no longer in its network.
