Researchers from the DistriNet Research Unit at KU Leuven have found that many newly released devices, including cars, contain outdated web browsers that lack essential security updates. These embedded browsers can be vulnerable to phishing attacks and other security threats due to their outdated software. The findings highlight the risks associated with the use of such devices in everyday life.
