Quantum eMotion Submits Quantum Entropy Source for NIST Validation
Article Content
Quantum eMotion Corp. announced that Lightship Security Inc. has completed an independent assessment of its eCore-Q PCIe Quantum Entropy Module. The assessment package has been submitted for review under the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) to obtain a standalone Entropy Validation Certificate. This certificate would confirm the module's compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-90B, which is crucial for cryptographic systems. The submission does not guarantee validation, and the review process is ongoing. The quantum entropy generated by QeM's proprietary QRNG technology is intended for use in regulated and security-sensitive applications. This milestone is part of QeM's strategy to enhance its portfolio of cryptographic cybersecurity products. The outcome of the validation process remains uncertain, and the timing is not assured.
Key Points: • Quantum eMotion's entropy module submitted for NIST validation. • Validation seeks compliance with NIST SP 800-90B for cryptographic systems. • The review process by CMVP is currently ongoing.
