Key figures include Ji Moufei, who developed and sold the Silver Fox trojan, and Chen, who created a variant of the malware. The group's activities involved malspam campaigns and fake download sites to distribute the trojan. Silver Fox has been operational since mid-2024 and has recently expanded its targets beyond China. The crackdown followed a security alert issued by China's CERT team in late May 2026. The group is known for deploying various infostealer families and custom remote access trojans, including AtlasRAT and ValleyRAT.
