Aleksey Olegovich Volkov, a 25-year-old Russian national, has pleaded guilty to charges related to his role as an initial access broker for the Yanluowang ransomware group. Between July 2021 and November 2022, he compromised networks of at least seven U.S. companies, selling access to cybercriminals who deployed ransomware, resulting in demands for ransoms totaling $24 million.
