On October 2, 2026, Sateliot successfully launched five new 6U CubeSats into low Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket as part of its Draconis mission. This launch expands Sateliot's satellite fleet to eleven, enhancing its 5G NTN IoT network capacity. The satellites, manufactured by Alén Space, are designed to operate as telecommunications towers in space, providing connectivity in areas lacking terrestrial mobile coverage. Key improvements include a more reliable data storage system, upgraded onboard computers, and enhanced radiation resistance. The satellites will double the number of daily passes and halve the revisit time for devices operating beyond terrestrial networks. The mission was supported by Exolaunch for logistics and KSAT and Leaf Space for ground control. The operational lifespan of each satellite is expected to be five years.
