StackHawk has launched Wingman, a tool designed to autonomously fix security vulnerabilities during AI coding sessions. The product integrates with popular AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, allowing vulnerabilities to be identified and remediated in real-time as code is written. Since its initial rollout, Wingman has successfully fixed over 7,500 vulnerabilities, with a 98% retention rate of those fixes. The tool aims to address the growing gap between the rapid pace of AI-driven software development and traditional security measures, which often lag behind. CEO Joni Klippert emphasized the urgency of this solution, noting that the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation has significantly decreased. Wingman operates by scanning the code, identifying flaws, and allowing the AI agent to patch them before the code reaches a security team's backlog. The tool is priced at $10 per user per month, with a 14-day free trial available.
