Researchers from the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security have identified a vulnerability named StackWarp in AMD CPUs, affecting generations from Zen-1 to Zen-5. This flaw compromises the integrity of Confidential Virtual Machines (CVMs) by allowing a malicious insider to access sensitive data without needing to read the VM's plaintext memory, thus bypassing the SEV (Secure Encrypted Virtualization) protections.
