WISeKey International Holding Ltd announced the launch of its 21st satellite, WISeSat 4.0, into Low Earth Orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on March 30, 2026. The satellite is equipped with the QS7001 chip from WISeKey’s subsidiary SEALSQ Corp, which focuses on post-quantum cryptography technology for secure satellite communications. This technology aims to protect against future quantum computing threats across various sectors, including defense and logistics. The launch is part of SpaceX's Transporter-16 mission, which deployed over 100 satellites. WISeKey plans to deploy additional satellites throughout 2026 and 2027 to enhance its satellite constellation. The average lifespan of the satellites is about five years, and the company aims to deliver quantum key distribution and other services by 2033. Despite recent stock challenges, analysts predict a 62% revenue growth for SEALSQ in the current year.
