COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) — Cincinnati FBI agents helped arrest an Ohio man allegedly involved in a terrorist plot targeting last weekend's UFC fight on the White House lawn.

On June 10, Knox County deputies and Danville Police were called to Tycen Proper's by his mother. She was concerned his recent online communications and firearms purchases.

She told them Proper had met random people online and had been planning "recons" with them. He planned to meet with them the weekend of June 13.

His father told investigators that Proper had recently used $3,000 of his graduation money on camping gear, ballistic plates, a new shotgun, "lots" of ammunition, extra magazines and plate carriers.

Proper was taken to a hospital for "homicidal ideations."

His mother then told the FBI that her son had been communicating with an ultra-religious, anti-government group. She believed they were using religion to manipulate her son.

The group complained government corruption, handling of the Epstein files, data centers and more. The group called Vanguard of the Old on TikTok believed the U.S. was headed in the wrong direction and it needed to be torn down so it could be rebuilt.

His family also reported Proper making anti-Semitic statements and sympathetic Adolf Hitler.

A warrant covering Proper's phone found Signal chats that laid out plans to conduct an attack in Washington, D.C.

In an interview with the FBI, Proper admitted to planning a coordinated attack during Sunday's UFC event on the White House lawn. Proper believed many in the group had military experience.

The plan was to stage a demonstration during which drones would detonate in one area of the UFC arena. As people evacuated, his group would start shooting. They planned to shoot the crowd and high value targets, including the wealthy and politicians. Some of the targeted lawmakers were those who took money from "pro-Israel PACS," according to TrackAIPAC.com.

Proper, 19, faces conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, attempted murder of any officer or employee of the United States and gun charges.

FBI Director Kash Patel said as many as five suspects are in custody. The affidavit said as many as 19 were in the TikTok group.
