The EQUIP project, launched in Europe, aims to develop secure and efficient implementations of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) across various platforms, including IoT, automotive, and cloud systems. The project addresses vulnerabilities in existing PQC standards, particularly their resilience against side-channel and fault attacks. It involves a consortium of three academic institutions, two deep-tech SMEs, and one industry partner, focusing on a design-test-attack cycle to iteratively improve security. EQUIP's five objectives include systematizing knowledge, developing security testing methods, and creating verifiable implementations aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act. Open-source demonstrators will be delivered at Technology Readiness Level 4, emphasizing practical applications. The project is funded by the HORIZON-RIA scheme, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world deployment of quantum-safe cryptography.
