On November 5, 2026, NATO launched a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) marketplace to expedite access to counter-drone technologies for its member countries. The marketplace features 16 solutions from five companies: Alta Ares, Axon Enterprise, Northrop Grumman, OSL UK, and Quantum Systems. These systems, which include static, transportable, and mobile options, have been previously deployed in allied nations and Ukraine. The initiative is part of NATO's broader Drone Edge program, with allies committing over $40 billion to enhance counter-drone capabilities over five years. The framework contracts will last for 18 months, with plans for regular competitions to incorporate advancements in technology. NATO has allocated €3.1 million ($3.5 million) for further testing of the selected systems. The marketplace aims to streamline procurement processes, allowing member states to order directly from a NATO catalog without additional tender procedures.
