Vibe Coding Tools Found to Generate Critical Security Flaws

A study by security startup Tenzai revealed that popular vibe coding platforms produce insecure code, including critical vulnerabilities, when responding to common programming prompts. The assessment, conducted in December 2025, evaluated five well-known vibe coding tools and found that while they can avoid generic security flaws, they struggle with context-dependent vulnerabilities. Palo Alto Networks also reported on January 8, 2026, that the rise of vibe coding has led to significant security incidents.
