Sweden Enhances Cybersecurity with AI Initiative

The Swedish government has tasked the National Defence Radio Establishment (FRA) and the Armed Forces with developing an AI-supported capability to protect critical societal functions from cyber threats. This initiative aims to create a national cybersecurity capability that leverages AI tools to identify vulnerabilities and prevent hostile AI attacks. The FRA will conduct a pilot program to assess the operational benefits of AI in cybersecurity, with a report due by October 30, 2026, and a final report by January 29, 2027.
