Arcserve Launches Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suites Giving Lean IT Teams ...
Arcserve announced the immediate availability of Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suites, new affordable solutions for small and mid-market organizations to defend data from ransomware attacks, validate recoverability, and coordinate data recovery with less operational complexity.
Ransomware defense for a lean IT team has typically meant assembling separate products: backup software, offsite immutable storage, recovery testing, and a response plan for the day of the attack. The new Arcserve Suites lower the technical and economic barriers to adopting ransomware resilience solutions.
AI has lowered the cost and the skill required to run a successful ransomware attack, and 53% more organizations were hit by ransomware extortion year over year, with more than 90% of breached organizations employing fewer than 1,000 people.
“Smaller IT teams do not lose to ransomware because they didn’t have a solid backup solution,” said Michael Lin, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Arcserve. “These organizations lose because they lacked immutable backups, because the data restore was never tested, because no one could say which recovery point was clean, and because there was no one to call at two in the morning for help. The new Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suites are designed for comprehensive ransomware recovery: reliable backup, immutable backup copies, validated recovery, documented and orchestrated disaster recovery workflows, and expert technical help during a recovery.”
What the Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suites Include
Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suite – Core combines Arcserve® Unified Data Protection (UDP) Premium with Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage. AI-driven anomaly detection and encryption recognition flag mass encryption and bulk deletion inside recovery points before a restore decision is made. Immutable cloud storage holds an offsite copy in a non-rewritable format with retention locks. Automated recovery testing measures backup restores against recovery point and recovery time objectives.
Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suite – Pro adds Arcserve Disaster Recovery Runbooks and the Rapid Ransomware Response Service. DR Runbooks deploys just-in-time temporary cloud-based recovery resources, defines boot order and dependencies, and tests hands-free on a schedule, surfacing configuration issues before an incident. Temporary resources are released automatically, saving budget and time.
Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suites are available now. Existing Arcserve UDP customers can upgrade to either tier now or at renewal without changing their current UDP configuration. New customers moving to Arcserve can choose either tier to improve ransomware recovery readiness.
Expert Technical Assistance During Ransomware Recovery
While many Arcserve customers with current maintenance successfully recover with the help of Arcserve Technical Support teams, some organizations want to secure dedicated help. A new dedicated ransomware recovery service is available only with the Arcserve Ransomware Protection and Recovery Suite Pro tier.
An Arcserve Technical Incident Commander takes ownership of the case within 30 minutes of a customer ransomware breach report to Arcserve, 24x7x365, then carries it through a full backup integrity audit to identify the last known clean recovery point, guided recovery into a customer-provided environment, and a documented post-incident review.
Structured status updates arrive every 30 to 60 minutes while recovery is active, so IT leaders can report to their management and cyber insurance firms.
Before an incident happens, eligibility onboarding assesses the backup environment against recovery-readiness standards and documents needed actions.
