ASI Raises $325 Million Series C At $3 Billion Valuation For Critical Infrastructure AI

Pulse2 • October 22, 2026

ASI has raised a $325 million Series C financing round at a $3 billion valuation to accelerate deployment of artificial intelligence systems used across transportation, defense, energy, logistics, and other critical infrastructure. Spark Capital led the round, with major participation from affiliates of Citadel Securities, Meritech Capital, Craft Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, and Andreessen Horowitz.

The Boston-based company develops world models and reasoning systems intended to simulate physical operations hours, days, and weeks ahead. ASI said its technology combines continuous forward simulations, multidimensional monitoring, and optimization to help operators move from reactive decision-making toward predictive, system-wide orchestration.

ASI has secured several large government and commercial deployments. The U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration awarded the company an $875 million program of record to modernize the National Airspace System. ASI is also deployed with the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Pacific Command, and the Army recently awarded the company a $99 million contract tied to modernized command-and-control efforts, including the Generation Command and Control program.

Commercial customers include Delta Air Lines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines, and National Grid. ASI said National Grid, which provides natural gas and electricity to more than 20 million people in the Northeast, is using the company’s technology for electric grid planning and operations.

The new capital will support expanded deployments across energy, logistics, and tactical-edge environments while growing ASI’s frontier AI research and engineering teams in Boston. The company also maintains offices in Washington, D.C., Denver, and Europe.

“The future of our national prosperity hinges on giving the people who run our critical systems the power to out-calculate compounding complexity in an increasingly dynamic world. While the broader tech ecosystem spent hundreds of billions teaching AI to manipulate words and generate text, ASI is deeply focused on AI systems that can manage and control physical assets — no matter if that’s a plane, a vessel, or the energy grid. This capital ensures ASI scales as America’s engine: the automated nervous system keeping the country running.”

Phillip Buckendorf, Founder And CEO Of ASI

“ASI represents a generational category creator: an AI company running the physical world and orchestrating its most valuable assets. Securing an $875 million federal program of record alongside rapid commercial adoption across airlines and power networks proves that ASI is sovereign infrastructure. ASI is one of just four neoprimes that have signed production contracts of this size with the U.S. government.”

Clay Fisher, General Partner At Spark Capital

“Some of the most valuable applications of AI will be in complex, real-world systems where thousands of interconnected assets must be continuously modeled and optimized. ASI’s work with the FAA and recent $99 million U.S. Army contract are clear examples of the company’s impact on aerospace and defense, but the same underlying technology is already demonstrating its value across energy and logistics, making ASI the decision intelligence platform for these critical industries.”

Michael Robinson, Partner At Craft Ventures

“Electricity demand is rising at an unprecedented pace, and utilities are tasked with upgrading the grid while maintaining a high level of reliability. Mission-critical institutions already trust ASI to run some of the country’s most complex operations, and that same technology now helps utilities like National Grid get ahead of disruption, from how they respond to storms to how they plan and invest for what’s . We see energy as a major growth opportunity for the company.”

Sameer Reddy, Managing Partner, Flagship At Energy Impact Partners

“The institutions behind America’s most critical systems trust ASI to show them what is coming and what to do it.”
