Successful exploitation of CVE-2026-0288 could result in a denial-of-service condition or lead to arbitrary code execution via specially crafted network traffic
The following platforms are known to be affected:
Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS
Note: Cloud NGFW is not impacted by this vulnerability.
Palo Alto Networks has released a security advisory to address a vulnerability in the Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic.
Note: The risk of CVE-2026-0288 is minimised when the User-ID Terminal Server Agent connectivity is restricted to only trusted internal IP addresses according to Palo Alto Network's recommended best practice deployment guidelines .
Affected organisations are encouraged to review the Palo Alto Networks security advisory and apply relevant patches as soon as possible.
Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the User-ID Terminal Server Agent (TSA) component of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic. The security risk posed by this issue is minimized when the User-ID Terminal Server Agent connectivity is restricted to only trusted internal IP addresses according to our recommended best practice deployment guidelines . Panorama is not impacted by this vulnerability.
