Back Classaction CNHI Data Breach Exposes SSNs, More; Attorneys Investigate
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the CNHI data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident , including those who received notice of the CNHI data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
CNHI, LLC, headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, recently reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer network. The CNHI data breach took place between April 27 and May 17, 2025, when an unauthorized actor accessed the network and extracted certain files.
Following the discovery, CNHI secured its network and launched an investigation. By November 19, 2025, it was determined that some files contained names combined with Social Security numbers. Driver's license and financial account numbers may have also been exposed, according to a letter submitted to the New Hampshire attorney general . Notification letters were dispatched to affected individuals starting on December 8.
