Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.

How could an attacker exploit this vulnerability?
An attacker could send a specially crafted Word document containing malicious mail-merge data to a target user. The user would need to open the document and process or update the mail-merge data. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to execute code on the user's system. Authentication is not required.
