Chinese AI companies are stealing from American AI firms’ models to build their own via “aggressive, malicious, and targeted” campaigns, cyber agencies said Tuesday.
Starting in 2024, DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, Alibaba, and other Chinese companies have extracted billions of tokens from advanced US AI models, including variants of Anthropic ‘s Claude, Google’ s Gemini, and OpenAI Inc. ‘s GPT, according to a joint advisory from the National Security Agency, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and FBI.
