A Sunderland-based cybersecurity company has secured £1 million investment to accelerate growth, enhance its technology and create four jobs.
OneClickComply has received backing from the North East Accelerate Fund, managed by Mercia Ventures, alongside the Venture Sunderland Fund and Northstar EIS Growth Fund, both managed by Newcastle and Sunderland-based Northstar Ventures.
Founded by Connor Greig in 2024, OneClickComply employs 12 people and serves dozens of customers, ranging from sole traders to a leading fast food brand.
Its platform simplifies compliance with cybersecurity standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, automating up to 90 per cent of the work involved. It monitors IT systems, manages security processes and can configure settings across platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and AWS with a single click.
The company, which has doubled monthly recurring revenue over the past six months, is targeting similar growth during the six months.
Connor says the latest investment – which takes OneClickComply’s total funding to more than £2.4 million – will support further technology development and the expansion of its sales and customer service operations.
He said: “Every business now gets asked to prove its systems are secure, usually by a customer who’s to sign.
“The answer shouldn’t be three months and a consultant.
“We automate 90 per cent of the work, fix the issues we find instead of just reporting them, and keep everything in place afterwards, which is the part everyone forgets .
“That’s why we’ve doubled revenue in six months - because this problem isn't going anywhere.”
Owen Conquest, from Mercia Ventures, added: “OneClickComply offers a unique value proposition through its ability to automatically detect and remediate data compliance issues without the need for specialist intervention.
“This investment will support the company’s continued growth, enabling it to capitalise on the increasing demand for automated compliance solutions driven by strong regulatory and market tailwinds.”
Tom O’Neill, investment manager at Northstar Ventures, which also recently backed Northumberland technology firm Dragonfly Advanced Materials with £500,000 through its North East Spinout Inspire Fund , added: “We’re very pleased to support OneClickComply with further investment from our Venture Sunderland Fund and EIS Growth Fund.
“The business has grown significantly since our initial investment and it is tapping into an increasingly complex compliance and cyber security market where the risks of a breach or non-compliance are continuously rising.
“Congratulations to Connor and the team.”
Jason Hobbs, chief executive of North East Fund, added: “It’s great to see OneClickComply, a Sunderland-based business, secure investment to support its continued growth.
“We’re proud to support businesses across Sunderland and the wider North East, and help companies like OneClickComply grow and create new opportunities in the region.”
