As part of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Ireland will host 'Cyber Week' from 5 - 9 October 2026. This will include formal and informal EU meetings of a variety of regulatory and operational groups, the Presidency Cyber Security Conference, and Ireland’s national Cyber Exhibition.

The Cyber Security Conference of the Irish EU Presidency is the centrepiece event of Cyber Week. This takes place in the Convention Centre Dublin on Wednesday 7 October.

The conference will be opened by Minister for Justice, Affairs and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan and will bring together senior representatives from government, EU institutions, industry, academia and the wider European cyber security community to examine the most significant cyber security challenges and opportunities facing Europe. Closing remarks for the conference will be provided by Minister of State Catherine Ardagh.

The theme of the event is aligned with Ireland’s three Presidency themes: Competitiveness , Values and Security . Sessions will explore a range of topics under these categories, including regulation, building capability, protecting privacy, cyber diplomacy responsibilities with Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybercrime and hybrid threats, and digital sovereignty. Attendees will hear from leading practitioners, researchers and policymakers across three separate stages, through a combination of panel discussions, speeches, presentations and practical workshops.

The Cyber Expo is a central part of Cyber Week, running alongside the conference programme in the Forum at the Convention Centre Dublin. The Expo will feature organisations from across Ireland’s cyber security ecosystem, showcasing the breadth of cyber security expertise, capability, research and innovation in Ireland, along with European and global players in the cyber security field.

The Expo will bring together organisations from across industry, research and education, the public sector and the wider cyber security community, providing a space to make connections, exchange ideas and discover the work taking place across the sector.
