Every October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month reminds us that protecting Chapman University’s digital community is a shared responsibility. From safeguarding student records and research data to protecting personal information, good cybersecurity habits help keep our campus secure.

This year, we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to focus on four simple but effective practices:

Watch for Phishing scams

Using strong passwords and 2FA

Updating Your Software

These small actions can significantly reduce the risk of cyberattacks and help protect both your personal information and university resources.

Remember, if you receive a suspicious email, do not click any links or open attachments. Instead, report it to [email protected] so our Information Security team can investigate. Early reporting helps protect the entire Chapman community.
