GOLF MANOR, Ohio (WKRC) - The Village of Golf Manor is dealing with ransomware from a cybersecurity breach.

At the Nov. 24 council meeting, Village Administrator Ron Hirth said the village has no interest in paying the ransom.

He said the village's insurance asked members to pass a resolution to deal with the breach but said the resolution needed modified. They may pass it in December.

According to Hirth, any payment would have to be authorized by council.

During the meeting, members did not detail how the cybersecurity breach has impacted the village.
