DarkWeb Scanner is a scanner for authorized security research that crawls sites on the Tor network. A compiled Rust engine does the scraping, and a Node.js dashboard manages the scans.

A multi-threaded Rust engine with configurable concurrency that sends all outbound traffic through a Tor SOCKS5 proxy.

A REST API with JWT authentication, admin token issuance and token revocation, on SQLite or PostgreSQL.

A command line mode for headless, scriptable scans with JSON output.

A Docker Compose stack that starts the API, the dashboard and the Tor proxy with one command.

Written documentation for the API, the production deployment and the implementation decisions, and a clear limit to authorized research and penetration testing.

Stack: Rust, Actix-web, Node.js, Tor (SOCKS5), Docker Compose, PostgreSQL or SQLite
